The word Scrap refers to the waste materials. Scraps are small parts of a material , which are generated in chemical or mechanical processing. These particles can not be used for same production but can be recycled and used for some other purpose. Accordingly Plastic Scrap refers to the material left in the processing of plastics. WHAT IS PLASTIC SCRAP ? Plastic is originally a polymer; it needs specialized processing to get an usable form. Plastic scrap is automatically produced during theses chemical or mechanical processing of plastic. Plastic scrap can be simply understood as a waste part/ particle of any kind of plastic. Though this plastic scrap is like a waste in continuing process but it can be significantly used for many other productions. In fact Plastic scrap is not less utile than fresh plastics because plastic scrap is significantly used to manufacture many other useful things. VARIETY IN PLASTIC SCRAPS There is a large variety of Plastics available in market. Each kind of Plastic produce different type of Plastic Scrap. Almost every kind of Plastic scrap can be recycled .The main variety of plastics are HDPE Plastic , LDPE Plastic, PVC Plastic, PET Plastic, ABS Plastic and PTFE Plastics. Plastic Scrap are also available in same varieties as HDPE Scrap, LDPE Scrap, PVC Scrap, PET Scrap, ABS Scrap and PTFE Scrap.
Lets learn more about the usage of these different kind of plastic Scraps by discussing them individually. USAGE OF PLASTIC SCRAPs HDPE scrap is a widely used plastic scrap, which can be recycled easily. High chemical resistance, excellent toughness and easy to process are few common characteristics of HDPE scrap. It is generally used for bags, caps, bottles and packaging etc. LDPE scrap is most commonly used grocery plastic bags and plastic bottles etc. LDPE scrap is known for its excellent flexibility and ruggedness. LDPE is most trusted material for heat sealing. LDPE Film Scrap, as its name says is utile for film applications. LDPE Scrap is extremely flexible and crystallized, which is most suitable for film strip manufacturings. PET scrap is known for its high moisturizing attribute. PET plastic scrap is widely applicable for baggage, liquid containers, and carpets etc. PVC scrap is generated through films or sheets. PVC Plastic scrap is widely used by pipe manufactures. This plastic scrap is known for its compatibility with all kind of requirements, it can be used as a tough material and as per necessity can be used for flexible tasks as well. There are few other kind of Plastic scraps as well, like PTFE Scrap, ABS Scrap, PP scrap and PS Scrap etc. PS scrap can be recycled for many uses such as containers, bottles and various packagings etc. PP Scraps are generally utile for manufacturing of battery casings, filaments and pipes etc. |
